Some Interesting Facts about Community Change |

- The organisation was established in 1981 as The Forum for Community Work Education
- We changed our name to Community Change in 1999
- We are a membership organisation with almost 500 members spread throughout Northern Ireland
- We actively work throughout Northern Ireland
- In the period 2007-2008 Community Change delivered 138 facilitation, training and supports sessions with over 800 participants
- Whilst we support groups to manage change, Community Change itself has gone through a substantial period of change at Board/Staff and strategic level
- Core funding for five posts – Finance and Administration Officer, Administration Assistant, 2 Part-time Facilitation and Training Officers, Strategic and Organisational Development Officer and Director is received from DSD VCU
- We receive approx 70% total organisational budget from VCU and have to income generate the other 30%
- Community Change Board is made up of representatives from throughout Northern Ireland
- We hold unrestricted reserves and would hope to eventually build these up to cover 6 months running costs as recommended by the Charity Commission
- Community Change is constantly creating accessible new resources for community groups and organisations; in 2007/2008 we produced two new resource leaflets entitled” The Sustain Game” and “Clued up about Dough”
- Community Change tailor makes all our facilitation, training and support to a group's specific needs
