The Multi-Cultural Resource Centre works to strengthen the active and equitable participation of ethnic minorities in society in Northern Ireland. MCRC has an open door for anyone who considers themselves to be from an ethnic minority background. MCRC has a Community Health and Social Wellbeing Project, an Active Citizenship programme, an Ethnic Minority Youth Group and Ethnic Minority Women’s Development programme and provides support for refugees and asylum seekers.

Northern Ireland Council for Ethnic Minorities is a voluntary sector umbrella organisation working on behalf of ethnic minorities in Northern Ireland. Activities include, capacity building, policy and information, networking, training, interpreting and translation services, racial equality services and asylum seekers refugee and immigration advice services, racial harassment advice and advocacy, health advocacy and volunteer development.

Established in 1991, RCN is a voluntary organisation established by community groups from rural areas to address poverty, social exclusion and equality issues through a community development and networking approach. Key activities include, policy research and consultation; community development support, primarily through the sub-regional Rural Support Networks and advice to those responsible for or managing community facilities. RCN also takes on a funding role under the Peace 11 Programme.

NICVA is the umbrella body for voluntary, community and charitable groups in Northern Ireland, providing its members with information, advice and training on a wide range of issues from management and finance through to policy development and lobbying.

ACOVO is a membership organisation for the Chief Officers of voluntary organisations in Northern Ireland, providing its members with targeted training and consultation opportunities; access to confidential peer support; free confidential counselling service; and use of a comprehensive resource library and training material specifically geared to meet the needs of a voluntary sector Chief Officers.
