Community InvolvementThroughout all its work Community Change demonstrates and promotes good practice and active community involvement. Our focus of building capacity, skills and knowledge within community groups and organisations emphasise' good working practices and explores ways of encouraging wider participation and involvement.

It is important for management committees and boards to continually explore issues of community involvement within their area exploring especially who “is nor represented” and putting measures in place to resolve that.

Community Change offers their independent facilitation and training services in the following areas to build skills and develop the capacity of voluntary committees and boards in the following areas:

  • Facilitated discussion on good practice issues
  • Getting others involved
  • Communicating with your community
  • Managing Change
  • Reviewing practice
  • Dealing with difficulties

Community Change also provides “generic” training sessions which focuses on a general overview of any of the above topics. Groups attending can then request facilitation and support in that area if they need more group specific support.
