Good Governance covers all aspects of work roles and responsibilities of all community and voluntary committees and Boards. Thee establishment of a Charity Commission within Northern Ireland will have a focus on ensuring good practice within the charitable community and voluntary sector.
Community Change offers their independent facilitation and training services in the following areas to build skills and develop the capacity of voluntary committees and boards to embed Good Governance into their daily practices: - Organisations Governance
- Policy and procedure development
- Policy and procedure development incorporating Good Governance
- Good Governance incorporated within the roles and responsibilities of management committee and boards
- Financial Good Governance
- Review of policies, procedures and practices
- Incorporating changes required to adhere to legislation
Some comments from groups worked with in this area: - Really useful to combine finance workshop with the roles of the management committee members

Community Change also provides “generic” training sessions which focuses on a general overview of any of the above topics. Groups attending can then request group specific facilitation and support in that area if they require it.
