Planning and Development - Including Action Planning and Strategic Planning Print E-mail

PlanningPlanning and development are important aspects of any management committee / board’s roles and responsibilities. Strategic Planning and any resulting Action Plans should form the bases of informing, planning and carrying all work undertaken forward.

Community Change offers their independent tailor made facilitation and training services in the following areas to build skills and develop the capacity of voluntary committees and boards in the following areas:

The Community Change Strategic Planning Process

Community Change has developed a dynamic 2 day process that facilitates a group to develop their Strategic Plan.  Whole group participation is of prime importance and is achieved by using ICA (Institute of Cultural Affairs) Technology of Participation methodologies and our “sticky wall”. 

The process enables a group to develop:

  • Vision
  • Mission
  • Values
  • Aims 
  • Objectives
  • One year implementation plan

This is two days' dedicated hard work but groups have found it crucial to the development of their organisation and even fun!

Some comments from groups who we facilitated through this Strategic Planning process:

Community Change also provides “generic” training sessions which focuses on a general overview of any of the above topics. Groups attending can then request group specific facilitation and support in that area if they require it.
