Community Involvement
We work with established community groups and those just starting out, at their own premises or in a neutral meeting place.

We provide support and training in:

• Increasing user participation
• Developing local involvement
• Influencing local decision-making
• Increasing the participation of volunteers
• Developing facilitation skills

Any charge for our services depends on your group’s ability to pay. Often our services are free.

Community Involvement

Ards Community Network asked for help in delivering their capacity building programme for local groups. We worked with 8 groups, developing their facilitation skills and designing a training programme that they then delivered locally.

The North Antrim Community Network worked with our Rural Women’s Programme to train local women as Community Facilitators who can now support women’s groups in the area.

Hillside Women’s Group asked Community Change to help them identify ways to increase involvement. After planning and support sessions the group improved their teamworking skills, organised an open day and actively invited women to attend. They succeeded in recruiting new members and were then able to organise courses with childcare support.
