Good Practice

We identify and develop creativity, innovation and good practice in community development work.

We do this by organising:
• Creative Thinking/ Ideas Generation workshops
e.g. on developing new project ideas
• Networking events
e.g. to identify and promote good practice
• Training days
e.g. on themes such as increasing creativity in groupwork

Good Practice

COSTA (Community Organisations of South Tyrone and Areas) asked us to facilitate a training day on “Developing New Creative Project Ideas” and “Involving New Members and Volunteers”. The workshop provided an opportunity for community groups to share examples of their existing work. It introduced creative thinking as a way to identify new, creative project ideas and new ways of working more effectively.

We organise training and networking events jointly with rural and urban-based organisations such as TADA (Tyrone, Armagh, Down & Antrim Network). These events provide an opportunity for community activists to come together to share good practice and identify solutions to community development challenges.

East Belfast Lifestart Forum asked us to provide an ideas generation workshop. This was a creative and participative way to involve and consult member groups. Together they produced a six-month plan of activities to meet user needs and expectations.
